Powerful Worship!

I had the opportunity to attend the baptism of a friend's daughter yesterday. The service was amazing.

It was essentially a regular Methodist service. But seeing three baptisms was powerful in and of itself.

To have Wayne Watson performing all the music for the service was even more amazing. (The church's choir was on retreat, and Wayne agreed to help out).

Only complaint: What is wrong with the traditional orders of service? So many churches, this one included, are neglecting the orders of worship for free-form. I thought the baptisms could have been more powerful if the traditional liturgy of the baptism had been used.

Oh well. Guess I am an old fogey long before my time!
